Description

DANVERS, MA —Danvers residents will have to hang on to that Christmas tree for at least one more week. Because of staffing issues — which come amid a spike in coronavirus cases in the region and throughout the country — the Danvers Department of Public Works said the curbside pickup of trees will be delayed until Jan. 15. The pickup had been scheduled for this Saturday. There will be only one curbside pickup for trees in the town. Trees will still have to be curbside by 7 a.m. on Jan. 15 with all ornaments, lights, stands, plastic bags, tinsel and garland remove. Those with questions can call Danvers DPW at 978-777-0001. Ext. 3011. (Scott Souza is a Patch field editor covering Beverly, Danvers, Marblehead, Peabody, Salem and Swampscott. He can be reached at [email protected]. Twitter: @Scott_Souza.)
