ATTLEBORO, MA — Police are looking for three people who they say broke into an Attleboro home early Tuesday morning. Police say the three intruders immediately ran out of the Peck Street home as soon as they realized people were still inside. Around 4:15 a.m., Attleboro police arrived at the scene to find two occupants inside the home who had locked themselves in a bedroom when they realized someone had broken into the basement, Deputy Police Chief Timothy Cook Jr. said. The area surrounding the house was searched with the help of a K-9 unit, but none of the intruders were found, Cook said. The occupants of the home told Cook they watched the suspects by live-feed home surveillance footage and immediately called the police when they thought one was armed, the Sun Chronicle first reported. The two inside said they didn't recognize the intruders, and didn't try to confront them, Cook said. Cook says he believes the intruders fled within seconds once they heard someone was home. Now Attleboro police are asking for the public's help in identifying the intruders. Anyone with information on this incident or who can identify the suspects involved is asked to contact Attleboro police at 508-222-1212.
