Press release from the Baltimore County Police Department: January 04, 2022 On December 31, 2021, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Baltimore County police officers responded to the Unit block of Jillway Ct., in Essex, for a reported shooting. A preliminary investigation determined an armed person shot an adult male after he arrived home; the victim sustained a non-life threatening injury. After the shooting, the armed suspect fled the scene. Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit are asking anyone with information about this shooting to contact them at 410-307-2020. Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland, an organization that is separate from the Baltimore County Police Department and Baltimore County Government, offers rewards of up to $2,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges in connection with felony offenses.
