It is icy out there this morning! On mornings like this, it is not unusual for FCFRD to be called to assist residents who have sustained an injury by slipping and falling on icy walkways. If you must be out this morning, walk with care and caution! Walk like a penguin!
In addition, the roads will also have icy spots! Please delay any travel until later if you are able! If you must drive this morning, make sure to check conditions on your normal route. Also leave extra time to get where you are going.
When on the road, make sure you slow down and keep extra distance between you and other vehicles! Do not use cruise control! Also, do not brake quickly or make sharp turns.
Hoping everyone has a safe day! Your FCFRD firefighters and paramedics do not want to meet you by "accident" this morning!
