School District Opens Pre-K Applications For Classes In The Fall

NORTH BELLMORE, NY — Applications for being accepted for pre-kindergarten in the North Bellmore School District. Due to a limited amount of spaces available, enrollment will be determined by a lottery drawing. The 2022-2023 Universal Pre-K is contingent upon state funding, the district said. Children who will be 4 years old by Dec. 1 and eligible to enter kindergarten in Sept. 2023 may participate in the lottery. The district anticipates having half-day and full-day programs, depending upon the grants. A half-day pre-k schedule would cover 2 1/2 hours per day, five days a week. The full-day program is five hours, Monday through Friday. Parents can not choose the school location and transportation will not be provided. The deadline to apply is March 11.
