MILFORD, CT — City officials agreed in a bi-partisan manner this week to increase the budget for a new police headquarters from $30 million to $40 million, as proposed in the city's five-year capital improvement plan.
While this sounds like good news for proponents of a new police station, it's still just a planning tool, and it doesn't actually commit Milford to spending any money for the project.
It is still possible that instead of building a new police station, Milford could renovate its existing headquarters on the Boston Post Road, officials said.
