Arlington County Decides On Tuesday Closures, Cancellations

ARLINGTON, VA — As Arlington residents continue to dig out from Monday's snowstorm, county officials have already decided what closures and schedule adjustments need to be made for Tuesday. All Arlington County government facilities will be switched over to virtual services on Tuesday and all in-person programing and facilities will be closed. The following closures and schedule adjustments will be in effect on Tuesday, Jan. 4: All Parks & Recreation indoor facilities will be closed and programs canceled on Tuesday. Virtual parks and recreation programs will still be offered. Arlington County Courts: In-person hearings are canceled and the courthouse will be closed on Tuesday. Courts will continue virtual operations where available. Related: Arlington Public Schools Delays Winter Break Return Again County Board Organizational Meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m., with the Civic Federation meeting taking place at 7:30 p.m. Both meetings will be livestreamed. COVID-19 Testing Sites & Vaccination Clinics: Vaccination clinics will be closed on Tuesday and the Curative COVID-19 testing kiosks will be opening at 11 a.m. Human Services Facilities and Programs will offer virtual operations on Tuesday, with in-person facilities closed and programs canceled. All Arlington Public Library branches are closed on Tuesday. Parking meters will not be enforced on Tuesday, but all other parking violations may still be enforce. Providing the weather permits, curbside services will resume on Wednesday, with pickups for those on the regular Wednesday schedule. The week will end with trash collection on Friday for all Friday routes.
