Here are the top stories today in Colorado Springs: Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers said that annexing the corridor of "No Man's Land" between the city and Manitou Springs is one of his top priorities before leaving office next year. Area leaders spent millions of dollars last year on improving the 1.5-mile corridor of West Colorado Avenue. (KRDO)Police say patrols wrestled a gun away from a suspect after he fired shots in a restaurant in northeast Colorado Springs. Late Sunday night, officers responded to the Old Chicago near North Academy and Austin Bluffs to a report of a shot fired. Police found a single gunshot was fired through a glass door and arrested William Christopher Thomas III. (KKTV 11 News) A popular trail near Colorado Springs may reopen soon after a Green Mountain Fall Board of Trustees vote today. Catamount trail, which leads to a waterfall and other hiking destinations, closed last summer after a resident ordered a survey that revealed the approach to the trailhead crossed his property, along with a small stretch of the trail corridor.
