LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — New Jersey American Water is urging Lawrence Township customers to avoid any non-essential water use due to a system issue on Monday night.
The advisory sent out around 7 p.m. is being issued as a result of reduced water levels caused by a system issue at its Raritan-Millstone Water Treatment Plant in Bridgewater.
The conservation advisory is in effect for New Jersey American Water customers in Mercer, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Somerset, and parts of Union County. The Mercer County towns affected by this are:
PrincetonLawrenceHopewellWest Windsor If current conditions continue, a mandatory conservation notice may follow, said American Water.When conditions improve, customers will be notified when the conservation notice is lifted.
