Automotive Detailer Job Summary: Restores and refurbishes new and used automobiles owned by dealerships and individual customers. Must conform to company principles, guidelines and quota expectations ESSENTIAL DUTIES: INTERIOR DETAILING • Complete interior vacuum • Cleans upholstery, rugs and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators and equipment • Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces • Treats fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals. EXTERIOR DETAILING • Exterior treatment and complete washdown • Applies wax to auto body and buff surface. • Pre-inspects and notates vehicles for noticeable defects - dents, scratches, torn upholstery and mechanical operations. • Restore appearance of engine area • Restore tires and tire wells. OTHER GENERAL DUTIES & EXPECTATIONS • Use proper eye, hand and body protection when using products • Removes all window stickers on sold vehicles. • Maintain a clean work area • Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner. • Report any safety issues immediately to management. • Other tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to learn and perform exterior and interior detailing duties to meet Safe Harbor’s quality of excellence. All levels of experience are welcome to apply, however, the requirements below represent the expectations of the detailer position. Requirements: • Willingness and motivation to be a successful detailer is essential. No prior experience or training required. We will train • Valid Driver's License – transporting vehicles to and from detail shop • Education - High school or equivalent PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: • Bending • Squatting • Stretching • In and out of vehicles (front seat, back seat, etc) • Lifting (up to 50 pounds) • Long-term standing and walking WORK ENVIRONMENT The garage/shop work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. • In and out of the elements – rain, cold, wind • Working with water on a daily basis COVID-19 Regulations: To maintain a safe and healthy workplace, Safe Harbor Auto observes Washington State’s COVID-19 safe health mandates such as wearing mask, social distancing and receiving the vaccination.
