Position Summary Oliver Machinery, a woodworking machinery distributor in Renton Washington, is looking for a task-oriented and self-directed individual who can multitask, prioritize and work in a team environment as well as being a fast learner. A mechanical aptitude is needed and familiar with woodworking tools is a plus. Through continual training, this role will act as a problem solver and provide technical support for machinery users according to issues occurring during their operation. Servicing primarily through phone and email, will involve identifying the customers’ problems and coordinating the proper course of action to take. The position also includes organization of replacement parts inventory including receiving, storage, and shipping. You will also assist in assembly and installation of equipment parts and components in-house, as well as provide back up to shipping and receiving all inventory. Key Responsibility • Obtaining technical knowledge in company’s machinery line. • Solving customers’ machinery issues by phone and email. • Coordination of repairs to machinery through a service network. • Organize and maintain replacement parts supply. • Assist in assembling and installing equipment as necessary. • Assist in processing, loading, and unloading shipments. • Process, pack, and ship replacement part and accessory orders. Skill Requirements • High school diploma required. • Valid state issued driver’s license. • State approved fork lift certification (will provide training if needed). • Lifting product or boxes up to 70lbs. • Must be mechanically inclined when adjusting, assembling and reviewing replacement parts and related schematics and drawings. • Basic knowledge of woodworking equipment uses and operation, prior experience preferred but not required. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) Benefits Monday through Friday full time position, weekend work is rare.
