CONCORD, NH — Police in the state's largest city are still actively searching for a girl missing since October 2019 — and now are offering an increased reward. Due to another round of reward commitments from business leaders in both Lynn and Newton, Massachusetts, a $33,000 reward is being offered in the search for Harmony Montgomery, a missing Manchester 7-year-old girl. The reward offer from the Bay State businessmen, which were made anonymously to the department, were on top of offers made by Dick Anagnost, the owner of Anagnost Realty and Development, and Arthur Sullivan, the owner of Brady Sullivan Properties. Manchester Crimeline also made a commitment to the reward, according to Heather Hamel, the department's public information officer. Anyone with information about Harmony Montgomery is asked to call the Manchester Police Department's dedicated tip line at 603-203-6060, 24-hours a day, seven days a week. 20 Years Of Climbing It took more than two decades, but JoAnne Murphy of Effingham has completed a major goal — 100 hikes to the fire tower on Green Mountain. Murphy, an avid hiker who has hiked all 48 4,000-foot mountains in the state, "fell in love" with the fire tower hike years ago. Since then, she has continued to hike it and on New Year's Day, hiked it for the 100th time. Joining her were Allen Crabtree, a hiking columnist, Gail Tibbets, a friend, and NH Forest Ranger Tom Trask of the Forest Protection Bureau. Credit: Tom Trask Faith Leaders To Gather Jan. 11 Dozens of interfaith leaders will meet at the Statehouse in Concord on Jan. 11 to address what they call the "moral crisis" as it relates to housing and racial justice in New Hampshire. This year, organizers plan to lobby legislative leaders about "housing inequity" in the state. The leaders, meeting as the Granite State Organizing Project Clergy Caucus, come from around the state and seek to work, at the grassroots level, to empower communities to "find their voice and affect change." Speakers include Rabbi Jon Spira-Savett of Temple Beth Abraham of Nashua; the Rev. Sara M. Holland of Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ; the Rev. Jon Hopkins of Concordia Lutheran in Concord; and Rev. Heidi Carrington-Heath from NH Council of Churches. The Rev. Allison Palm of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashua will officiate. The gathering will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11, on the Statehouse steps. Here is everything else going on in New Hampshire right now.
