Description

GENEVA, IL — Wine, Cheese and Trees, an 11-year-old fundraiser whose mission is to raise money to plant trees, will take place virtually for the second year. A joint venture between the Natural Resources Committee of Geneva and the Geneva Park District Foundation, the event will take place on Zoom from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 26. Lovers of wine or people who might want to better familiarize themselves with the drink will have an opportunity to indulge in three varieties and blends. For $100 per ticket, eventgoers will receive three bottles of select wine — one white, two red. Bottles can be picked up at the Geneva Wine Cellar, 227 S. Third St., a week prior to the tasting. Live auction items and raffles will include a one-year family membership to The Morton Arboretum, craft beer from Solemn Oath and Two Brothers and gold family pool memberships, among other offerings. Admission tickets and raffle items are available online. Guests will receive a Zoom invite two days before the event.
