Press release from Fountaindale Public Library District: Melissa January 3, 2022 Winter is the absolute best time to read! Nothing beats cozying up under a nice warm blanket with some delicious coffee (or hot chocolate) and an amazing book. The only thing that could possibly make it better is to get rewarded for your reading. This winter, we're offering three different reading challenges for adults, teens and kids so everyone in your family can get in on the fun. Children's Reading Challenge January 3–February 28 Challenge yourself this winter, and resolve to read! Pick up your reading log at the Children's Services Desk or download and print it below. Complete 10 challenges on the log to earn a winter plush toy and an entry in the grand prize drawing. Complete a bonus challenge to earn a free book and another entry in the grand prize drawing. You can complete two reading logs during the challenge. Download and Print Adult Reading Challenge January 10–February 28 Cozy up with a good book this winter by reading or listening for 500 minutes. Use your library card to log your minutes online in Beanstack. All participants that read at least 500 minutes will be entered into a drawing to win a Barnes & Noble gift card! Sign Up Starting Monday, January 10 Teen Reading Challenge January 10–February 6 Read or listen for 180 minutes (just three hours) per week to be entered into weekly prize drawings for books, gift cards and other fantastic prizes. That's just 30 minutes a day! Teens in grades 6–12, use your library card to log your minutes online in Beanstack. Then start logging your books, eBooks, audiobooks and eAudiobooks. All participants who reach the weekly reading goal will be entered to win a $15 Target gift card and a prize book each week, so be sure to log your minutes often.
