Press release from Dayton Public Schools: January 3, 2022 Updated January 3, 2022 MASK GUIDELINES   ATHLETIC EVENTS   QUARANTINE GUIDELINES Vaccinated & Non-Vaccinated Staff and Student Exposure Quarantine Guidelines Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 must ISOLATE for 5 days regardless of vaccine status. They may come out of isolation after 5 days if they have no symptoms or have been fever free for 24 hours (without medication). The individual must wear a mask for an additional 5 days. If you were EXPOSED to someone who tested positive for Covid-19 and are asymptomatic and HAVE received your booster shot OR received both shots of either Moderna or Pfizer vaccines in the last 6 months OR received the J&J vaccine in the last two months: you do not need to quarantine, but must wear a mask for 10 days and test after day 5 if possible. If you were EXPOSED to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 and you have NOT received your booster shot OR received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines more than 6 months ago or J&J vaccine more than 2 months ago OR are unvaccinated: you must quarantine for 5 days. A mask must be worn for the next 5 days and test after day 5 if possible. If symptoms develop after an exposure, stay home and get tested. When returning to school, students must check in with the nurse upon arrival. Staff must provide a doctor's release or negative lab analyzed results.
