UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH — Police are investigating a possible attempted carjacking at the Cedar Road Target. On the evening after Christmas, at 7:30 p.m., a South Euclid man was leaving Target. He was parked on the third level of the garage, according to University Heights police. The man was in his running car when another vehicle pulled up next to him. A person got out of the car and walked towards the South Euclid man. The unidentified person pulled out a gun and pointed it at the running car. The armed man told the South Euclid driver to hand over his keys and get out of the car, according to police. Instead, the driver threw his car into gear and sped away. Two other people were in the armed man's vehicle, police believe. Officers scoured the area after the incident was reported but were unable to find the suspects or their car. University Heights police said their investigation into the possible attempted carjacking is ongoing.
