AURORA, IL — It might be a new year, but vaccination efforts continue across the county. In Aurora, three clinics are scheduled to take place this week at various locations across the city. Visitors can choose to get the COVID-19 vaccine or booster as well as the flu shot at events Wednesday and Saturday. VNA Health Care is also offering at-home vaccination visits for seniors and people who are disabled or immunocompromised. To schedule an appointment with a nurse practitioner, interested people can call 630-978-2532, ext. 8385. Below are details for each clinic. At Aurora Public Library, 555 S. Eola Road When: From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. WednesdayDetails: VNA Health Care will be offering a clinic where visitors have the option between the flu shot and Moderna, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines. Second doses and booster shots of the COVID-19 vaccine will also be available for patients who bring their vaccination cards. Registration is preferred, and people ages 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. At Aurora Fire Station #8, 3770 McCoy Drive When: From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. SaturdayWhat: All COVID-19 vaccines — including pediatric, first doses and booster shots — will be available for people 5 years and older. Flu shots will also be administered. People who get the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will be automatically scheduled for their second dose at the VNA Health Care, 400 N.
