CHARLOTTE, NC — Bank of America, headquartered in the Queen City, is encouraging its employees to work safely from home, according to a memo sent to staff recently.
Bank of America does not have a mandatory vaccination policy but has encouraged its employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
The news that employees should continue to work from home comes after a spike of COVID-19 cases, specifically the omicron variant increasing nationwide.
In North Carolina, the omicron variant accounts for roughly three of every four new cases of COVID-19 per the CDC and hospitalizations went up more than 20 percent last week alone according to state health officials.
Bank of America will host on-site booster vaccine clinics for its employees, according to Reuters.
