Happy Wednesday, people of Anchorage! Here's everything you need to know today in Anchorage. First, today's weather: Mostly sunny and very cold. High: 3 Low: -8. Here are the top 3 stories in Anchorage today: Even though COVID cases are rising within the Anchorage district and municipality, schools are planning to stick to in-person learning. Superintendent Deena Bishop stated in a letter to the families and staff that going back to online learning will be a last resort. Bishop believes that these children belong in the classrooms. (Anchorage Daily News) Two people were shot during an altercation in a vehicle by the Midtown Anchorage intersection. Police stated that the two victims were a man and a woman. Both were taken to the hospital, but thankfully their injuries were supposedly not life threatening. The investigation is still ongoing. (Anchorage Daily News)Every year, Anchorage hosts an annual Christmas Bird Count. Many people participate, but sadly, Dave DeLap was not able to partake this year. Students at Aurora collected and donated over 1,680 condiments to the pantry. Good job, everyone!
