HUD- Affordable Housing Maintenance Property Manager – Rensselaer NY The ideal candidate should be a self starter and will have solid property management experience and possess related property management certifications in HUD affordable housing. Should be highly organized and detail oriented. You must be experienced in all phases of residential property management including marketing, leasing, resident relations and compliance. Duties will include, but are not limited to maintenance, working with vendors, leasing and annual re-certifications. Must be a people person and work effectively with others. Property manager responsibilities include: Leasing and administrative functions Managing application process of initial certification and recertification process Supervising of Section 8 program administration Tenant/landlord relations Supervision of day-to-day maintenance operations (safety, preventive maintenance, unit turnover) Resident retention and special projects as assigned First primary contact for all Residents Rent collection Maintenance responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Performs general maintenance, repair and minor improvement operations though out the facility including buildings, equipment, fixtures and grounds in order to maintain a safe and properly operating condition. - Prepare units for new tenants to include painting, repairs, etc. - Basic plumbing, heating and electric experience helpful - On call availability for emergencies The ideal candidate is: - Able to work independently with minimal supervision - Able to prioritize work load - Maintain professionalism at all times while supporting tenant maintenance concerns - Takes pride in maintaining the property Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, criminal background check, drug testing and references are required.
