We’re looking for a results-oriented, Truck & Trailer Technician to join our Service team at Messer Truck and Petroleum Equipment. $500 sign-on bonus! The ideal candidate will take pride in working very hard as a technician with proven excellence and experience. They will enjoy accomplishing the impossible as well as possessing a work ethic that produces outstanding results. They will play and work well with others. They will have a knack for discovering what the customer truly desires. Details: Hourly Position. Working on our shop floor, installing equipment (dump bodies, plows, sanders, liftgates etc..), servicing, inspecting, testing and repairing tanker trucks and oil delivery vehicles, grinding, welding, wiring, troubleshooting, and other projects as assigned. Must be team-focused, able to understand and communicate instructions, willing to learn new ways of doing things, and a strong drive for success. Preferred to Have’s: 2 years of Petroleum-Based trailer/tanker diagnostic and repair experience 2 years of commercial trailer brake system diagnostics and repair 2+ years of truck upfitting including installing 12v systems; welding & repairing equipment 2 years of Oil Delivery fuel truck repair And/or 10 years of complimentary experience Welding certifications Confined space trained Master at metal fabrication State/DOT inspection license VKIP Expert/Cargo tank inspections (VKIP, 5 Year tank test, etc) PTO /Driveline and Pump Installation and repair Experience Scully/Civicon DC electrical system diagnosis and repair experience Trailer ABS and Air Brake diagnostic On-Spot chain systems installation and repair experience Desire to learn and grow professionally Have to have’s: Good-natured Pliability Responsibility Optimistic attitude Customer-oriented Team-focused Attention to detail Impeccably punctual Respectful Communicates honestly and professionally Eager to learn HS Diploma What We Offer: Great working environment.
