Preble Street is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to work as part of the Facilities team on a full-time basis. The maintenance technician is responsible for the evaluation of maintenance requests and providing basic repairs, as well as monitoring work performed by outside contractors, preventative maintenance for equipment and building systems, assisting the facilities director with managing custodial staff, moving furniture, snow removal, and the timely completion of work order requests. The maintenance technician participates in the emergency on-call system for the facilities team. Requirements Solid skills in general carpentry and basic plumbing, demonstrated mechanical aptitude, ability to carry out instructions unsupervised, ability to prioritize and problem-solve, and basic knowledge of safety principles.
