This position is responsible for unloading product, putting cold product in the cold room, staging orders, load waiting trucks and rotating product so all product is in the same general area with the oldest product in front. III. SPECIFIC DUTIES: a. Unload incoming product. b. Stage Product c. Place product in cold rooms d. Load Trucks e. Rotate inventory f. Pre-stage loads g. Assist in receiving h. Familiarize self with prod uctive capacity of machines or loading schedule of shipping services to assure prompt loading of required items to proper destination. i. Removes strapping and wrapping and disposes of i t safely in designated containers or areas. Places protective materials around load and uses hand or automatic strapping equipment to secure loads for in-plant handling, interim storage, or final shipment to customers. j. Removes empty skids and stacks skids in designated area. k. Services truck, changing propane tanks or batteries. Reports mechanical or electrical difficulties to maintenance in person or on a maintenance request form. 1. Prior to signing out equipment performs operations and safety check. including battery, brakes and lift controls. m. Signs out equipment daily on release form. n. Proceeds safely to assigned area. o. Uses equipment appropriate to each type of movement. p. At each day's end, returns equipment to correct charging station and prepares equipment for daily (overnight) charge.
