Furniture Installer
SBI is a leader in supplying quality furnishings to schools and businesses in the Pacific Northwest. We are currently looking for a motivated installer to deliver and install orders according to SBI standards, representing our company and continuing our good reputation. This position may also oversee a crew and may be required to occasionally travel out of the area
Compensation: competitive-DOE, full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid time off
The work hours are typically Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends the workday starts in our Kent warehouse. Selected candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. EOE
Job duties:
• Receive and organize product at Kent office/warehouse
• Pick up/will call product from freight terminals, manufacturers or our Kent warehouse
• Verify quantity of items with freight bill or will call paperwork
• Verify quantity, color and model number with installation notes & purchase Order/Receiving List
• Driving - loading and unloading truck - no CDL required 16-26’ box trucks
• Checking in and communicating with the customer
• Assemble and place furniture per paperwork and layout drawings
• Install all components of order including loose furniture, office systems, shelving, seating etc.
• Inspect everything for damage or defects and report immediately
Requirements:
• Valid WA State Drivers License
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to prioritize tasks independently
• Represent SBI in a professional, able, helpful, and courteous manner
• Team player
• Dependable and on-time
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Good communication skills
