Description

Job description The Rental Tech‘s job description includes (but is not limited to) the following responsibilities: · Performing preventative maintenance on all rental vehicles. This includes a full-tune up 1-2 times a year per cart. o An inspection checklist should be fully completed for each cart for every: full tune up, repair, and even partial tune ups for each cart. A good rule of thumb: if you have added/subtracted or otherwise touched a tool to any part of the cart, assume an inspection needs to be done and the form filled out. o Notify office staff whenever more forms to be printed out and turn in forms daily to the designated folder. This is imperative for tracking hours worked, parts used and ensuring that all carts are being inspected o If an electric cart is going out for a rental event, check the batteries, cables and all electrical components before the cart goes out. o In between events, be sure to perform remedial maintenance on all cars (time permitting). This especially applies to any obvious damage regarding seats, access cover, cables, filters, batteries, and oil that may need to be repaired/replaced · Ensure stickers are on the front cowl and both body sides of each cart that goes out for rent; remove all customer-attached stickers/logos/string or any other items · Notify office staff of any parts needed for cars as well as the serial number that needs those parts. Install those parts promptly once they arrive · Remove any excess mud/residue from cars as they return from events and fuel them o Car should be pulled from the line, washed, fueled, then parked and pickup the next car o Cars are never to block the garage doors or the main driveway between the buildings · Stage the cars as outlined by the attached map. All cars should be with like styles. For example, sales cars should be divided by used and new, then electric and gas, txt or rxv, and color. Rental cars should be divided by type (2p, UT, 4p, 6p…), EFI or not, color and potentially make. · In the off-season, the first half of the day should be spent doing standard preventative maintenance. The second half of the day should be spent working with the OPM Tech working on major repairs on rentals. This is also a good time to ensure necessary parts are ordered and that forms are printed if needed. · Ideally, there should be at least 6 standard PMs done each day. A typical PM takes about an 45min- hour to complete. Also Ideally, there should be at least 24 cars washed each day when prepping for a rental event. There will be fewer cars needing washed in the off-season which will mostly be preventative maintenance. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
