MOVING HELP and VAN NEEDED....
Jobs
West Emory Rd near Emory Rd, Knoxville TN
Description
MOVING HELP NEEDED at some point in time, within last 2 weeks of January. This will be a ONE TIME DEAL. ***PLEASE READ the ENTIRE ad….BEFORE CONTACTING ME!!*** I am NOT MOVING an ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD. I am confident that ONE 30 MINUTE TRIP with a SMALLER SIZED BOX VAN is all that will be required. I have BAD KNEES and I cannot be doing any very heavy lifting. My arms are fully capable and willing, but my bad knees simply cannot handle much weight anymore. We will be moving miscellaneous stuff from a duplex apartment in Powell, TN and going to TWO DIFFERENT STORAGE LOCATIONS in Alcoa and Maryville, TN. These two storage locations are only about 5 miles apart. One location is a machine shop next to a church in Alcoa, TN and the other is a storage facility in Maryville, TN. ***I prefer that you have the correct type of RAMPS, UTILITY TRAILER or JACKS or TRUCK MOUNTED LIFTING ARM to load my KOBALT roller tool chest WITHOUT going through the painstaking and time consuming trouble of EMPTYING IT all out….or pulling out the heavily loaded drawers and screwing up the sliding tracks!! With the RIGHT TYPE OF RAMPS, two guys could manage to load and unload my tool chest. Three guys could do it with ease. LIFTING IT STRAIGHT UP BY HAND would probably REQUIRE AT LEAST 4 STRONG GUYS with THICK HEAVY DUTY WORK GLOVES and lower back lifting supports. I estimate this FULLY LOADED ROLLER TOOL CHEST weighs about 500LBS to maybe 600LBS MAX. Physical dimensions are about 18” x 35” x 42”. This roller tool chest has FOUR of the heavy duty 2” wide casters, which are spaced exactly 14” apart, from center-to-center of the caster wheels. GROUND CLEARANCE between the casters is just over 6”. Please DO NOT come to do this job without bringing some very good heavy duty work gloves and then end up telling me that the roller tool chest needs to be emptied out to load/unload it!! It is simply too time consuming to reorganize a tool box. Pulling out loaded drawers will create SLOP and EXCESSIVE PLAY in the drawer slides! IF you cannot load and unload this roller tool chest AS IT IS, then please DO NOT TAKE THE JOB. Bee there, done that…and it took me FOREVER to reorganize my darn tool box after my last move. Aside from my tool roller chest, there will be a VERY LIMITED NUMBER of furniture items. There MIGHT BE a disassembled bunk bed with all wood frame (50% chance). There WILL BE a solid wood entertainment center (20 x 48 x 49), one wooden workbench (20 x 34 x 64), two of the common type 6ft long tables with folding legs….and about SIX shelving units (some light steel wire and some plastic). None of the shelving units will require more than a 2 man carry. Half of them will be an EASY one man carry. The rest will just be 10-12 big boxes of miscellaneous stuff; some of which will be marked as fragile. There will be a couple of fairly big boxes which MUST BE KEPT AT LEAST 75% LEVEL AT ALL TIMES WITH NO JERKING MOVEMENTS and I will be glad to assist with maneuvering them safely. This should be a breeze for 2 guys, because I have carefully carried them ALONE in the past, when my knees were better. I have laid out ALL THE DETAILS and I am LOOKING FOR PRICE QUOTES on this simple and straightforward moving job. Please EMAIL ME through Craigslist OR leave me a VOICEMAIL with your price quote for the job. ALL TEXTS WILL BE IGNORED. NO PRICE QUOTE= NO REPLY. Thanks for reading and please be safe….Scott
