Description

Join us for the free University of Florida premiere of the Emmy-Award winning documentary, The Fellowship of the Springs. We are bringing our impactful documentary to the University of Florida in Gainesville, for a free screening Feb. 8. This screening brings the Emmy Award winning The Fellowship of the Springs to the heart of springs country in Florida. The film has won film festivals around the world, and an Emmy Award, and now we want UF students to be able to watch it for free. The event will be at the Reitz Union auditorium Feb. 8. EXPLICA MEDIA’S MANAGING DIRECTOR OSCAR CORRAL has pioneered a unique brand of narrative non-fiction storytelling: entertaining, educational, inspiring. His previous documentaries include Tom Wolfe Gets Back to Blood, the Emmy-award winning Exotic Invaders: Pythons in the Everglades, and The Fellowship of the Springs, all of which have run nationally on PBS; as well as the award-winning Return of the Panther, a film about Florida’s endangered Florida panthers that is used in universities around Florida to teach about conservation of wildlife and is on display at Big Cypress National Preserve’s visitor center. They are refreshing takes on complex issues that have helped spark important dialogue about Florida’s environment and wildlife.
