The Houston Area Urban League Guild Annual Masked Ball is the Guild’s signature fundraising event. It is an evening of dinner and dancing EVENT CONCEPTThe Houston Area Urban League Annual Masked Ball is HAUL Guild’s signature fundraising event. It is an evening of dinner and dancing with musical entertainment typical of a Mardi Gras Ball. Dinner is a seated BUFFET meal with cash bar service available throughout the evening. The Twenty-First Annual Masked Ball will be held at the Sheraton Suites Hotel on Saturday, February 19, 2022. We expect between 250-300 guests from the Houston metropolitan area to attend the Ball. The Houston Area Urban League Guild (HAUL Guild) is a volunteer auxiliary of the Houston Area Urban League and a member of The National Council of Urban League Guilds. HAUL Guild s mission includes promoting volunteer participation, raising funds to support Houston Area Urban League s programs and activities, and communicating Houston Area Urban League s programs policies and concerns to the community at large. During the National Urban League conference in past years, HAUL Guilders work and dedication earned first-place recognition in the Southern Region of the National Council of Urban League Guilds for donating more than $15,000 to the Houston Area Urban League in 2013 and 2014. HAUL Guild received the 2004 Quentin Mease Community Service Award for its commitment to service and fundraising, a prestigious honor awarded by the Houston Area Urban League. These awards are a true testament of HAUL Guild s impact for the Houston Area Urban League and within the Greater Houston community.
