Are you ready for a toe tapping time? Grab your spouse, and your friends for a night of music all while supporting Acres of Hope. Dear Friends in Christ Macharia Ministries is on a mission to provide an uplifting experience through an evening of music and testimony all benefitting Acres of Hope: a local nonprofit breaking the cycle of homelessness for mothers and their children. On Saturday February 26th from 7:30 to 9:30 at 985 Lincoln Way, State Theater in Auburn CA. The musical group Machaira and special guests will be performing. The intent is to not only glorify God but to provide an opportunity for the community to support Acres Of Hope. All ticket sales will go towards supporting this important ministry in our community. Acres of Hope is a faith-based, God-centered one-of-a-kind program for both women and children. It walks families through the process of change, healing, and growth that they need to completely overcome the cycles of homelessness, trauma, addiction, and poverty. This is done by using a holistic approach that addresses whole-person, whole-family health. As a result, families graduating Acres of Hope are Mentally Strong, Emotionally Strong, Spiritually Strong, Body Strong, and Relationally Strong. These ‘5 Strengths’ prepare them for a successful life after Acres of Hope. Machaira in Greek means SWORD. The band has claimed from the Bible Hebrews 4:12 “The word of God is living and active and sharper than a dual edge sword”. Machaira, now a 10-person band performs a variety of original tunes pleasing all age groups. The group, a not for profit musical outreach based out of Sacramento has been doing ministry for 30 years, has produced 6 CD, s toured Russia, been in a major motion picture and presently hosting its on show “Live At Macharia’s House www.machairavideo.com The group has hosted the annual musical outreach Praise In The Mountains for the past 30 years.
