A new staple of Flagstaff nightlife- drop by to hear some of the best and upcoming local jazz musicians play together beneath ambient light. Twice a month, Liminal extends its cafe hours into the night to accomodate the exciting scene of local jazz. To learn more about Liminal (nonprofit cafe and community center), visit liminalflagstaff.com. Jazz trio performances take place every 2nd Friday ($10 pay-what-you-can). Open jazz jam sessions take place every 4th Tuesday of the month (free!). Both sessions are led and organized by local jazz guitar player, Josh Moore, who received his Doctorate in Guitar from the University of Southern California. All proceeds go to helping fund Liminal's rent. However, tipping the musicians is HIGHLY encouraged. Entry fees are paid at the door the night of. Donations are encouraged! Liminal is a nonprofit café and community center that is completely volunteer-run. All purchases are PWYC (pay what you can) and you never have to buy anything in order to spend time here. Furthermore, café sales and donations go directly into keeping the space up and running. We frequently host local art exhibitions, film and webinar screenings, safety trainings, queer-friendly parties, community meetings, classes and workshops, clothing exchanges, free food gatherings, community fundraisers, performances, and other sorts of programs and events.
