Description
Our 6th Annual Teen Summit invites all teens, youth, and parents to talk about Teen Dating Violence and Healthy Relationships. Mark your calendar for February 5, 2022 for our 6th Annual Teen Dating Violence Summit. The Teen Summit offers parents and teens an improved understanding of the basics that make up safe, healthy relationships, as well as how to recognize the warning signs and patterns of dating violence. If you're a teen... It’s already hard enough trying to navigate through your teenage years, but it can be even more challenging if you’re in a relationship with someone who hurts you or makes you feel bad. How are you supposed to know if a relationship is actually good for you or if there are warning signs? It starts with a conversation on what Healthy Relationships and Teen Dating Violence are. Promise Place’s Teen Summit is a fun and interactive day full of workshops, giveaways, and performances that should help keep that conversation going so that you are better prepared to decide if a relationship is right or not, what is okay and what isn’t, and overall how to help end teen dating violence. If you're a parent... Having those conversations about what safe, healthy relationships look like in today’s culture can be tough. Early intervention, awareness, and education can help make that a little be easier. If Promise Place can help educate parents on what the warning signs of unhealthy teen dating, then parents are better equipped on how to address the issue and support our teens. Our Teen Summit is here to help start that conversation, together.
