Byrd,a mother, Christian Life Strategist, Educator, Trainer, Minister, Motivational Messenger, and Author . DIVA stands for Determined Individual with a Victorious Attitude. Dr. Byrd is no stranger to poverty and pain. Raised in Larchmont Gardens (housing project) the inner city of Miami, Florida by a single mother she was surrounded by a dysfunctional home life and unhealthy environment. By the grace of God, Dr. Byrd weathered some severe storms- poverty, homelessness, abuse, molestation, and loss of loved ones but by the grace of God, she persevered through her pain and overcame the unfavorable conditions she was forced to face as a result of the storms- feelings of anger, abandonment, shame, and rejection, and a longing to be loved by a man to fill the void felt from her absent father. Dr. Byrd lives her faith out loud daily and she is on a mission to use the pain from her past as the prescription for healing and breakdown of women who are Broken from the trials of life, Bound to the strongholds of the enemy, Blind to the power of God, and Bankrupt in their faith but has a desire to chart a new path. After much prayer, she opened the doors of Byrd’s Nest Outreach, Inc, a 501c(3) faith based non-profit organization where the mission is to reduce homelessness among mothers aging out of Foster Care and provide the support and life skills needed to change their mindset, serve as their child’s educational advocate, and live a life peace, purpose, and prosperity. Dr. Byrd later opened the doors to D.I.V.A Coaching Academy, LLC to provide more individualized services to women of faith who are ready to chart a new path in life and become the Purposeful D.I.V.A they were created to be, living a life of peace, purpose, and prosperity by faith in Jesus Christ. Dr. Byrd is a member of the lovely ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
