Saturday night's drive-in movie program theme is "Living the Legacy". Program features guest speakers Mr. Kyion White & Mr. David Fernandes.
Students from two local schools, Parkway Elementary and Plantersville Middle School, will share tributes to significant historic civil leaders. Following their presentation, two guest speakers; Mr. Kyion White, a Tupelo native and University of Mississippi student, and Mr. David Fernandes, President of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi, Inc., will each offer reflections on living the legacy of Dr. King today. In between those talks, Committee for King's annual awards presentations will be given. The Image Award to Lee Williams will be received posthumously by his son, C.C. Williams. The Community Service Award goes to Florine Nails, and the Drum Major Award selection is Leesha Faulkner. The program begins at 6:00 pm with parking open and box meals served starting at 5:00 pm.
