Join us in person or on line! With all the turmoil and change in our world, nation, and state today, it is very comforting to know that the heart of Alaskans has not changed and that Alaskans are still committed to helping those less fortunate than ourselves. For the past 10 years, we have come together each December for our Annual Can and Card Holiday Event featuring honored guest U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski. This celebration of fellowship and charity has been a high point of our holiday season. However, this year, Congressional schedule commitments and community health concerns make it difficult to schedule an event in December. Instead, we are postponing the event until President’s Day, February 21, 2022 when we hope you'll join us in person at the Dena’ina Convention Center or virtually via your computer. We'll celebrate the new year with a Congressional update from the senator, and continue our tradition of gathering donations for charities that face high demand during the coldest months of the year. The Midnight Sun Special Events Committee was formed in 2010 to organize the annual luncheon. A non-profit, non-partisan group, MSSEC is honored to carry on an event that celebrates the holiday season and benefits the needy in our community. We welcome your suggestions and participation in making each year's luncheon a success​
