BROOKLINE, MA — The Public Library of Brookline is closed Monday due to COVID-19 concerns, according to Director Sara Slymon. All three locations are affected by the closure and hope to reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 4. "Out of an abundance of caution, for the safety of our patrons and staff, the 3 locations of the Public Library of Brookline will be closed to the public today," said Slymon. "The Board of Library Trustees and the Library Director will be working diligently to evaluate the evolving COVID situation, and hope to re-open normally tomorrow." The library's phone number, 617-730-2370, and live online chat remain in service. Hold pickups will not be available Monday and expiring holds will be extended.
