CONNECTICUT — Kerri-Lee Mayland, the NBC Connecticut anchor who took a medical leave of absence in April 2020, has returned to the airwaves, reported The Laurel. Mayland was spotted on-air just before Christmas, and has anchored some afternoon broadcasts since. Mayland is a TV news veteran with more than 25 years of experience covering stories from Arizona to Boston, according to her bio. Among the areas where she's worked include Washington DC and Philadelphia. She is a wife and mother of two, and she has won multiple Emmy Awards for her news coverage. Mayland was born in Canada, and became a U.S. citizen while at the station.
