Description
NAUGATUCK, CT — Rebimbas Wine Shop in Naugatuck recently was fined $2,200, and had its permit suspended for a day, after the state Liquor Control Commission said the store sold alcohol to a minor.
Details of the illegal transaction were not disclosed, but the store's permit will be suspended on Jan. 24.
According to the commission, liquor stores are disciplined "after either: (1) a formal hearing in which the Liquor Control Commission found a violation of state liquor laws, or (2) entering into a voluntary agreement to settle allegations without a finding of fault."
Rebimbas, located on Maple Street in Naugatuck, was one of nine liquor establishments in Connecticut to receive recent fines and/or suspensions, the commission announced.
