ARLINGTON, VA — In responce to the winter weather moving through the Washington, D.C. area, Arlington County announced that all government offices are closed on Monday. The closures will also include county COVID-19 testing and vaccination operations. Here is the list of government facilities and programs closed on Monday: All County buildings will be closed.Arlington Public Schools announced Sunday night that all county schools would be closed on Monday as well.All indoor parks and recreation facilities will be closedAll in-person programs and activities are canceled.Virtual programming continues as scheduled.Arlington County Courts will operate virtually on Monday, while in-person activities are canceled.The Arlington County Board's annual organizational meeting, which was originally scheduled for Monday, has been pushed back to 6 p.m. on Tuesday. In addition, the Civic Federation meeting has been rescheduled to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both meetings will be live streamed.County-run COVID-19 vaccination and testing sites are closed on Monday. The county will contact people with appointments on Monday in order to reschedule.New construction and field inspections will operate as scheduled, but code enforcement inspections are canceled.All Arlington library locations are closed on Monday.Parking meters will not be enforced on Monday.Monday trash,recycling and organics collections are canceled, with scheduled pickups being pushed back to the next day through Saturday.The public is encouraged to signup for Arlington Transit and Metrorail/Metrobus alerts. All Human Services facilities and in-person programs are canceled.
