Here are the top 3 stories today in Burlington: After adopting the new CDC guidance shortening the period for COVID-19 isolation and quarantine to five days, Vermont is adding an extra layer of protection by encouraging people to "test out." Currently, anyone who tests positive or has symptoms of coronavirus should isolate for five days. In Vermont, you can leave your home on day five if your symptoms have improved and you're feeling better, you haven't had a fever in 24 hours, and you take two antigen tests at least 24 hours apart – no earlier than day four – and they are both negative. (WPTZ)South Burlington's Orchard neighborhood kicked off the new year with a glow parade. Decked out in lights, the community was celebrating the new year and Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a project that's raised over $110,000 for charity since its inception seven years ago.
