Press release from the Arapahoe County Government: January 3, 2022 New fees for engineering permits have gone into effect as of Jan. 1, 2022. The new 2022 Permit Fee Schedule replaces the previous fee schedule which was approved by the Board of County Commissioners in 2009. The fee increase covers the cost of Engineering Services to process the various permits and conduct inspections. The new fees are for utilities in the right of way, paving, concrete and drainage. As part of the process in evaluating the new fees, Public Works and Development staff compared the fee schedules for Aurora, Parker, Castle Rock, Littleton and Douglas County. County staff estimates the new fee schedule will provide $30,000 of additional money for 2022. The Board of County Commissioners approved the new fees on Nov. 9, 2021.
