The Fort Worth Fire Department over the weekend opened Station 43, 13300 Highland Hills Drive.
At its temporary location, Station 43 will serve the far west side of the city, including Walsh Ranch and Lost Creek. Plans for a permanent station are being finalized. The station is expected to be at Walsh Parkway and Walsh Avenue and will be completed within 24 months.
FWFD is dedicated to providing timely, professional response to fire and emergency medical needs throughout Fort Worth. The addition of Station 43 will allow the department to meet those goals on the rapidly growing west side of the city.
