DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Several coronavirus vaccination clinics are being held in Delaware County this week as the coronavirus and its variants continue to infect numerous residents. Clinics are being held Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday this week in various locations. All three vaccines — Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson — are being offered for free at the Delaware County Wellness Center in Yeadon, the Keystone First Wellness Center in Chester, the Centro de Apoyo Comunitario Farmers Market in Upper Darby, and the 69th Street Terminal. First and second doses, as well as boosters/third doses, are available for all individuals. The Pfizer vaccine is available to those 5 older, with a second dose 21 days after the first dose. Parents or guardians must provide consent for 5 to 17-year-olds and must plan to be present during the vaccination. Boosters are available for those 18 and older who received their second dose of Moderna more than six months ago; those 16 and older who received their second dose of Pfizer more than six months ago; those 18 and older who received the single-doses Johnson & Johnson more than two months ago; and those who are moderately to severely immunocompromised are eligible to receive an additional dose of Moderna or Pfizer 28 days after their second dose. Appointments are strongly recommended at all vaccination clinics—except for 69th Street, which is walk-in only. Make an appointment online here, call the Delaware County Wellness Line at 484-276-2100, or email [email protected]. Walk-ins will be welcome at all other locations. Individuals without an appointment should arrive at a vaccine clinic at least one hour after start time.
