WESTLAKE, OH — A van got stuck on a boulder on Detroit Road last week, Westlake police announced.
At 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 27, callers reported seeing a vehicle stuck on a rock on Detroit, near Dover Center. The driver, a 30-year-old Avon woman, appeared intoxicated, police said.
The driver was slurring her words and was field tested by officers, said Capt. Gerald Vogel of Westlake police. She was then taken into custody on suspicion of operating a vehicle impaired.
The van had to be pried off the rock by Patton's Towing before it was dragged from the scene and impounded, police said.
The Avon woman was taken to Westlake Jail where she took a breath test and was three times over the legal limit for blood-alcohol, Vogel added.
