The Trailer Mechanic/Technician will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of light-duty and heavy-duty trailers. This will be working outdoors in the elements 100% percent of the time. Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! $2K Sign-On Bonus! Shift: looking for 2nd or 3rd- can do either 8 hr shift, 10 hr shift, or 12 hr shift. What’s in it for you? Full-Benefits within 30 days! What the Trailer Mechanic/Technician role looks like: Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required Inspect and perform work on the underparts of vehicles/class-8 tractor-trailers, airbrakes, hydraulics, suspensions, axles, turbos, engine repairs, electrical repairs, DOT inspections, diagnostics, steering, flooring/roofing repairs, side panels, top/bottom rails, and PMs Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on a vehicle Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures Perform other duties as required What our ideal candidate looks like: Must have at least 2 years of experience performing Trailer Mechanic/Technician Must provide own hand tools Perform DOT inspections Basic computer skills Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.) Must be able to work with or around chemicals, oils, greases, or other irritants Are you ready to advance your career as a Trailer Mechanic/Technician with Amerit Fleet Solutions?
