Read entire post. Call ) JOJO IS URGENT! . Hi, I'm JoJo I am dog friendly! I am set to be euthanized 1/4 Why am I E-listed? I was being protective of my family’s home when strangers came over ( pool man and delivery person). read details below: I'm a 5-year-old, neutered, black and white American Pit Bull Terrier (73 lbs.). My previous owners said many good things about me! They told shelter staff that I was good with the other dog in the home, liked children, and would go to a “sit” with a finger snap. They said I liked to go for runs and walks and would be calm and relaxed after that. They also said I was protective of my home and family. When my family left me at the shelter, I was nervous because I didn’t know what was happening to me. Despite being anxious, I allowed staff to handle and pet me with no issues, and I walked to my kennel on leash. I was easy to leash but pulled a little during the walk to the play yard. While in the yard, I came to staff for attention and petting, and took treats but was a little grabby. I was easily returned to my kennel. I don’t have a current dog assessment, but one done in 2019 indicated that I had a gentle play style and was tolerant of dogs. I was a good family dog and could be good for another family. I need to be protected when an unfamiliar person is entering my home. I don’t want to be put down and I don't think this is a reason for me to die! Will you save my life?
