The individual in this position is skilled in all areas of equipment operation in tree care operations and responsible for maintaining a high level of production, excellence, and safety while working as part of a team.  You will be operating light, medium, and some heavy equipment and trucks, and performing a variety of skilled duties related to tree trimming, tree removal, and stump grinding at both Commercial and Residential properties.    Your future at Arbor Masters:   When you join the Arbor Masters team, you are joining our work family. The opportunity is all yours and what you want to make of it!  As a CDL Equipment Operator I/Groundsperson or Climber* you would be responsible for: *If you are a climber, you must have experience in tree climbing, pruning and removals of at least 1 year Operating and maintaining tools and equipment including but not limited to chainsaws, claw trucks, buckets, stump grinders, whole-tree chippers, and small loaders Supporting crew members by controlling lowering ropes and following safety protocols Loading chips into truck and backfilling the stump hole Inspecting all equipment before leaving the shop Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment Completing Basic Equipment Operator Training Course Properly setting up work zones utilizing cones and signs Utilizing safety PPE Requirements: A team player with a positive attitude! Must be at least 18 years old A valid driver’s license along with a Class A CDL or Class B CDL with Airbrake Endorsement Ability to provide routine maintenance on machinery and equipment Ability to follow directions and work independently Ability to complete labor-intensive outdoor work with exposure to a variety of weather conditions including wet and/or humid conditions and vibration, along with working near moving mechanical parts Ability to navigate uneven terrain, stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, and lift in excess of 50lbs on a regular basis Our core purpose is to love people and pursue excellence in the tree care industry.
