Landscape Laborer: GeoCal Environmental Management & Landscaping seeks a several full or part-time laborers and irrigation technicians for Open Space Landscaping. This job requires a variety of landscape tasks including; trimming of ground covers and hedges, removal of weeds and debris using landscaping tools such as hoes and weed whackers, bending down to pick up debris, loading trucks and walking up and down hills. Irrigation repairs and installation. This is outdoor landscape work performing ongoing regular landscape maintenance. Please send current work experience with references via email. Duties and responsibilities: Mow and edge grass areas. Candidates must be attentive and responsible for working within a group and individually. The desire to work with a crew performing a variety of landscaping projects. Preferable: irrigation installation and repair. Ability to lead a crew. Operation of two and four cycle motors (weed whacker, mower, leaf blowers, etc). Repairs to fences and trails. Seasonal fertilization of ground covers and shrubs. Invasive species removal. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Irrigation installation and repair, Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather, exposure to sun, wind, noise. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Experience with hand tools, shovel, a rake pick, etc. Valid California Drivers license. Weed removal utilizing mechanical and chemical methods. This work requires standing, walking, squatting and kneeling. Knowledge of irrigation systems a plus.
