Mission Church is a Baptist Church in Virginia Beach Located off 264 and S. Witchduck rd. We have currently have one service @ 10:30 am on Sunday morning with a soundcheck at 9 am. Our rehearsals are on Wednesday nights from 6 pm to 7:30 pm and we play 4 songs each week. We play music from artists like Hillsong, Elevation, Maverick City, Bethel, and more. We often mix Contemporary, Gospel, and Hymnals to close the generational gap and allow for a welcoming worship atmosphere. All of our musicians have access to the songs we play (in the key we will be playing them in) at least a month in advance, and each song file comes with a scratch track of each individual instrument as well as a chord chart and the original recording. Each musician also uses an Allen and Heath ME-1 personal monitor to create their own in-ear monitor mix and save it for future use. The drum kit is provided you just need to bring your own sticks, cymbals, and snare, or we have some cymbals and a snare that can be used if need be.
We already have a great team of volunteers and would love for you to be a part of our team. The "Audition" is simple, We ask that you participate in three rehearsals before playing in a Sunday service. This allows us to get to know you and your playing style and gives you an opportunity to attend our church and see what it's like outside of playing in the band.
