Job Summary: Supervise and coordinate field staff in the maintenance/repair/construction of levees, water control structures and other District infrastructure including the coordination of equipment and materials required for all projects. Job duties include: • Supervise and coordinate field staff. • Coordination and scheduling assistance to other Bureaus within the District as requested. • Complete projected weekly and monthly work schedule for in-house projects. Discuss projected monthly schedules with Program Manager and Bureau Chief. Complete daily activity reports, and other miscellaneous paperwork including ensuring that all work orders are properly entered and closed with the District’s work order system (TMA). Work orders shall include all costs associated with work including labor, equipment, materials, contracted work, etc. Ensure that all monthly equipment logs are completed correctly and promptly submitted to Fleet. • Oversee contractor’s work associated with the repair of levees, structures and other District infrastructure. • Operate equipment when or if necessary to complete assigned projects. Ability to: Communicate and work well with others, as a team, as well as work well independently; endure harsh outdoor environments in uncomfortable/extreme temperatures, inclement weather, and remote locations; move/operate equipment; maintain a priority of safety, integrity, and efficiency; make effective, consistent, and defensible decisions in the field. Use computer programs and Microsoft software. Submit application online at. Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or G.E.D. and four years of experience as described above or formal education may substitute for work experience and a valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License, Class A with Endorsement N or the ability to obtain within six months from date of hire.
