SNEAK PEEK! Maple! Maple was a stray dog when she was found and she learned how to take care of herself by hanging out with other stray dogs. It’s been a learning experience for her to learn to come to humans for cuddles and belly rubs but she is doing it! We are so happy for her! Maple is a Chihuahua mix, 14 lbs. and is a calm, low energy girl. She has bonded quickly with her foster mom but she is still timid with new people and new situations. She would love a person who is home most of the time. Maple has been good with the cats in both foster homes she has been in. We believe she will do best in a quiet home with no young children. She loves her foster mom and will follow her all around the house. She would love to sleep on the bed with her person but has gotten used to sleeping in her crate. Once she warms up she is your best friend. She has been in a home with lots of dogs and a home with no other dogs and just cats. Maple is hesitant to go outside (bathroom breaks) alone and will need to have her person go out with her until she relaxes into her new home. She is crate trained (she does whine for a few minutes), she follows her mom everywhere around the house. She still needs some time to gain the confidence to go on walks. Are you a patient and calm person? That is who will win the trust of this little dog! Maple is up to date on her vaccines, had flea treatment, had dewormer and is microchipped, spayed and has been heartworm tested. Her adoption fee is $350.
